Alice Pfeifer was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she attended Pinellas County Schools. She received her BA in English Education from Florida State University in 1982 and began her teaching career at Gibbs High School. Over her forty years of teaching Language Arts, she was a finalist for Teacher of the Year and served on numerous committees.

She and her husband, Rob, have been married for thirty-eight years, and they are the proud parents of Alison, a 2006 graduate of Gibbs and current educator in Pinellas, and Andrew, a 2008 graduate of St. Petersburg High. Alice also feels blessed to spend time with her three grandchildren.

With her strong bond with Gladiator Nation’s students, staff, and community, Alice is honored to be a committee member for the Jonathon Gibbs Museum. She feels preserving Gibbs’ rich history is important for past, present, and future generations.
